Mindful Mantras / Speak to Yourself with Love

Sanskrit:
man = mind
tra = vehicle or transportation

This word has become very popular, but is sometimes misconstrued in meaning. Upon further research, I came upon a beautiful visual to help further explain:

Like a seed planted with the intention of blossoming into a beautiful perennial, a mantra can be thought of as a seed for energizing an intention. Much in the same way you plant a flower seed, you plant mantras in the fertile soil of practice. You nurture them and over time they bear the fruit of your intention.

Where the mind flows, our energy follows. Mantras allow us to shift to a single point of focus. By repeating the mantras below or creating our own individual mantra, we can direct the flow of energy to a positive place. Thus, reshaping the way we talk to ourselves, and cleaning the lens of which we see the ourselves and the world around us. 

Implementing this as a daily ritual can recharge your energy, rid the body of what no longer serves it, and create a strong foundation for your wellbeing (mind, body, and soul.) 

Personally, mantras not only guide me on the mat, but allow me to find the beauty in the simple things. Our "monkey minds" can get the best of us with the chaos of life swirling (anxiety, stress, depression, judgement, expectations, anger, fear etc.) I find my roots and ground down, knowing I'm fully supported. I hope through these mantras, you can do the same.

Our self talk can dictate the choices we make. Positive thoughts energize our souls. 


To be home,
is to be in the present moment.


Dedicate a moment of silence and close your eyes,
choosing a mantra that comes naturally.

Repeat.
Believe what you're saying, as if you already have this within you or around you.
